This holiday season, we are proud to support the Supportive Housing for Young Mothers (SHYM), a program by the YWCA Halifax. SHYM provides a nurturing, stable environment for young single mothers (ages 16-24) facing barriers to safe, affordable housing. Through their support, these mothers receive life skills training, parenting programs, and access to long-term housing.
Due to growing demand, SHYM is seeking help to meet their participants' needs. They are asking for essential gift cards from Walmart or grocery stores in $25 to $50 amounts. Amazon gift cards are also appreciated, allowing mothers to purchase necessities for their families. Your generosity will directly empower these young women to choose the best items for their families, meeting their unique needs.
