WENDY ELLIOTT: Library needs being ignored

NDP Leader Claudia Chender is concerned about power being concentrated in the premier’s office, but additionally the Houston government is limiting debate in the legislature.

“We are in the legislature so rarely,” Chender said at a recent news conference. “We have such rare opportunities to move legislation that will help the lives of Nova Scotians, and we have spent all of our time … watching (the introduction of) legislative instruments that consolidate executive power.”
