Nova Scotia government passes bill confirming epidemic of domestic violence
A news release issued by the NDP claims Nova Scotia has the highest rates of intimate partner violence of any province in Canada. Over 30% of women and 22.5% of men who have been in a relationship report being physically or sexually assaulted by their partner.

The NDP is also urging the Houston government to expand the number of paid leave days for workers experiencing violence at home.
