As summer continues to cast its warm glow over our community, we’re all eagerly preparing for the back-to-school season this week.
September brings a host of exciting events to downtown Dartmouth. On September 8th, don’t miss the 10th Annual Halifax Colour Festival. This vibrant celebration promises a day full of music, dancing, and colourful fun, all with free entry! The first 500 attendees will receive a complimentary colour pouch, and there will be games with chances to win tickets to future events and other great prizes. I am deeply inspired by the collective effort and passion we’ve seen from our community regarding Dartmouth Cove. In the absence of the approvals required from every order of government, and the lack off meaningful engagement with the community, this project cannot proceed. Your commitment to standing up for what is right and ensuring our community’s values are upheld fills me with immense pride. This spirit of unity and action underscores the strength of our community and the importance of advocating for what matters most to us all. We hear from people in Dartmouth South every day who are struggling with housing challenges. To address this pressing issue, our focus is on practical solutions that increase the availability of affordable rental units, support innovative housing projects, and ensure fairness in residential tenancy and protection for renters.
