Trump tariffs 'economic war' and N.S., Canada will fight back, premier says

Opposition and NDP Leader Claudia Chender said that “from Day 1 that the specter of tariffs was raised, we have been calling for a Team Nova Scotia approach” and for a collective response.

“We know that there is a contingency fund, we know there are possibilities, but how are those decisions going to get made?” Chender said. 

“We need to make sure that the voices that need to be at the table are at the table, we need to hear from industry, from all of the leaders of sectors, from workers, from Nova Scotians, to see what our path forward is.”
