NDP Leader Claudia Chender said Nova Scotians are concerned about health care, access to primary care and housing.
"I don't see anything in this budget that is going to improve access for the 137,000-plus Nova Scotians who are on the family practice wait list ... and I don't see anything for affordable housing and I don't see anything for affordability," Chender said. "The fact that they there is no increase in the (income assistance) amounts, given the inflationary period we're in, given the degree to which people are struggling, is really a shame.".
