Halifax school bus drivers feeling forced to just ‘shut their mouth’ over constant criticism

“Claudia Chender, an NDP MLA in Dartmouth and Department of Education critic in Province House, said she’s cautiously optimistic about the government’s latest promises.

‘I mean, something needs to be done to ensure that kids get to school and the buses arrive, and so it’s always good that it seems like the government is taking seriously the issues in that regard,’ she said in an interview.

But ultimately, she’d like to see a “rigorous review” of Stock.

‘The bigger issue seems to be that the BusPlanner software doesn’t work, and that Stock in general has been unreliable. So giving $2 million more to a company that’s been providing bad service is a little worrisome.’”
