Max Chauvin: Retirement - Member's Statement

CLAUDIA CHENDER « » : Madam Speaker, I rise today to recognize Max Chauvin. Max is the current general manager of the Zatzman Sportsplex. I think I speak for the entire Dartmouth community when I say that he will be deeply missed when he retires from his position this Spring.

Max brought his 35 years of experience in recreation facility management and non-profit governance to the table during the redevelopment of the Dartmouth Sportsplex. He helped manifest a vision for a truly inclusive space to serve all of Dartmouth's demographics, which can be felt throughout the new facility and which has made it the best recreation facility in the HRM. I've said this before in this House: the Zatzman Sportsplex is both beautiful and accessible.

Max, your boundless energy is infectious, your sartorial style is unparalleled, and your dedication to Dartmouth will be felt for years to come. You will be missed, but I am sure we will see you on the waterslides.
